Wisdom isn’t just calling out to those who are already wise; wisdom calls out constantly to the simple and to the fools in every place. This is encouraging. The world’s educational system shares its wisdom with the brightest and best. But God’s educational system caters to the foolish (1 Corinthians 1:26-28).
It’s not that God is against those who have the wisdom of the world. But the wisdom of the world is foolishness compared to God’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 3:19). Therefore, only those who realize their relative lack of wisdom are candidates for God’s school of higher learning.
